"Alebrije Cat" Painting Class for Kids
We are Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Hinovations with our "Awesome Aztec" series. Kids learn about and paint on canvas, the Mexican Folk Sculptures called Alebrijes. Saturday, Sept 16 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, The Alebrije Cat.

About the Event
"Alebrije Cat" painting class for Kids ages 6 to 12
Hinovations Art Gallery celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, by offering a series of carefully selected paintings from the Awesome Aztec workshops. We love Mexican Folk Art at Hinovations and selected Alebrije Animals for this year's theme.
Alebrijes originated in Mexico City in the 20th century, in 1936. These animals are either made of papier-mache or carved from wood and decorated with bright colors and hundreds of colorful dots.
The students will use acrylic paints on canvas as they depict one of these animals in two-dimensional format. These charming Alebrije will be cherished for many years to come.
- Students will finish a painting in class. Gallery provides all materials.
- Session is $35 per class/ per student.\
- Please wear appropriate clothing. Although we wear aprons, acrylic paints can stain clothes.
