Manga & Anime: Drawing, Design & Storytelling
Drawing Class for Kids ages 6-13
Instructor Artist Georgina Chavez
In this beginner-friendly Manga & Anime Drawing class, students will build foundational drawing skills while exploring the distinctive style, characters, and visual storytelling of manga and anime.
Through guided, step-by-step instruction, students will practice drawing familiar characters from popular manga and anime series such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Jujutsu Kaisen, Pokémon, and more. These character studies will be used to teach important drawing fundamentals, including facial features and expressions, proportion, body structure, movement, clothing, and posing.
Each month introduces new concepts and techniques, including character design, composition, inking, panel layout, and visual storytelling. Projects are designed to strengthen observation, technique, and confidence while balancing structured instruction with opportunities for individual creativity.
