RSVP for Animals in Art Saturdays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm

​Animals in Art, Painting & Drawing Art Classes for Kids ages 5 to 12

RSVP for a Spot with a $20 Registration Fee.  This Fee will be applied to the September Tuition.  Students Not attending first week of classes, will loose their Spot and the $20 Fee.  

As students delve into the intricate details of animal art, they will develop a keen eye for composition, color, line, and form. By critically analyzing and deconstructing artworks, they will uncover the underlying principles that govern artistic expression, such as proportion, rhythm, and contrast. With each brushstroke and sculptural gesture, students will hone their artistic fluency, cultivating a deeper appreciation for the complexities of visual storytelling.

Our classes provide a nurturing environment where students can unleash their creativity and experiment with different mediums and techniques. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, they will have the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge of the elements and principles of art to create original masterpieces within the animal genre.

Students will learn and understand these elements as they create original works of art focusing on animal genre.  Students will also identify works of art, depicting animals, as they create a collection of artworks rendered in charcoals, watercolors, oil pastels and acrylics on canvas.

• Drawing (pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolors)

• Student exhibition participation

Workshop Duration and Cost:  9-Month Workshop running from September to May, with a duration of 2 hours per class, totalling 8 hours a month.  Each monthly project is independent of each other, so kids can start at any time during the year.

Class Instructor:  Ms. Raquel Hinojosa

Tuition Cost:  $120 per month.  All materials are included plus light snack.  Students come in once a week for 2 hours, totaling 8 hours a month.

• Thursday        6:00 to 8:00pm         5 - 12 yr olds
• Saturday       1:00pm to 3:00pm      12 - 17 yr olds, Illustration Class
• Saturday       3:30pm to 5:30pm      5 - 12 yr old 

*Notes

All classes include Drawing with pencils and oil pastels and Painting with mixed media like acrylics and watercolor paints.  Students are provided with aprons but should also wear appropriate clothing that might get stained with paint.  

These Classes are taught by Professional Artists and include Step-by-Step Instructions.  Students should be prepared to follow instructions to take advantage of the full experience.
