Monumental Art, Drawing Art Classes for Kids ages 6 to 12

RSVP for a Spot with a $20 Registration Fee.  This Fee will be applied to the September Tuition.  Students Not attending first week of classes, will loose their Spot and the $20 Fee.  

In these art classes, students dive into the world of pencil drawing with a focus on Monumental Arts. They'll learn Elements of Drawing like line, shape, form, texture and value as they create gradients, and master perspective to bring iconic structures to life on paper. Through hands-on instruction, they'll gain a deeper understanding of architectural details and how to translate them onto the page.

These classes are designed to be both educational and engaging, providing students with the tools they need to accurately depict monuments while encouraging their creativity to flourish. Parents can expect their children to develop strong technical skills and a newfound appreciation for the art of drawing.

As students progress, they'll become more confident in their abilities and start to see their own unique style emerge in their work. Whether they're sketching famous landmarks or local monuments, each drawing will be a testament to their growing skill and artistic vision.

These classes allow students to develop and improve their Drawing and skills as well enhance fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, improve critical thinking skills, lateral thinking, complex analysis and critical thinking skills.

• Expressive Drawing
• Drawing with pencils, color pencils, markers
• Student exhibition participation

Workshop Duration and Cost:  9-Month Workshop running from September to May, with a duration of 2 hours per class, totalling 8 hours a month.  Each monthly project is independent of each other, so kids can start at any time during the year.

Class Instructor:  Mr Lupe Hernandez

Tuition Cost:  $120 per month.  All materials are included plus light snack.  Students come in once a week for 2 hours, totaling 8 hours a month.​

• Tuesday         5:30 to 7:30pm            6 - 12 yr olds
• Wednesday   5:30 to 7:30pm           6- 12 yr olds
• Thursday        3:45 to 5:45pm           6 - 12 yr olds
• Thursday        6:00 to 8:00pm          6 - 12 yr olds
• Saturday       1:00pm to 3:00pm      8 - 12 yr olds
• Saturday       3:30pm to 5:30pm      12 - 18 yr olds Mixed Media

*Notes

All classes include Drawing with pencils and oil pastels and Painting with mixed media like acrylics and watercolor paints.  Students are provided with aprons but should also wear appropriate clothing that might get stained with paint.  

These Classes are taught by Professional Artists and include Step-by-Step Instructions.  Students should be prepared to follow instructions to take advantage of the full experience.
