Under the Texas Sky is an ongoing landscape painting class for adults inspired by the diverse scenery of Texas—open skies, quiet roads, fields, brush country, coastlines, and small-town horizons. Each week, students will work on a different Texas-inspired landscape, allowing time to explore composition, color, and atmosphere while building confidence in painting techniques.

This class focuses on understanding light, distance, and mood in landscape painting. Students will learn how to simplify complex scenes, mix colors for sky and land, and create depth through layering and brushwork. While reference images may be provided, personal interpretation is encouraged, helping each artist develop their own visual voice.
