Explore the beauty and character of wild cats through watercolor painting! In this weekly homeschool art class, students will study a variety of wild cats from around the world while developing foundational drawing and watercolor skills.

Through guided, step-by-step instruction, students will learn to observe the unique features, proportions, markings, and textures of each animal. Lessons will introduce watercolor techniques such as color mixing, layering, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting, brush control, washes, and creating texture for fur and natural surroundings.

Students will also strengthen their understanding of the elements of art, including line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space, while learning how to plan and complete a finished watercolor painting.
